This past week I've been having a bit of a clear out. You know what they say; a cluttered work space causes a cluttered mind... that's true for me anyway!

I came across an old marketing book which I avidly read cover to cover when I very first qualified as a certified coach a few years ago and ventured into the world of business. The book covered what was supposed to be the A-Z of marketing a service business.

Having had a flick through the pages I was amazed to find that many of the suggested strategies were archaic. Would you believe that "Yellow Pages Advertising" was featured as a recommended place to start promoting a business? I ask you. When was the last time you looked in the Yellow Pages?

In this day and age the first place people begin to do any research is on the Internet. So if you're keen to begin marketing your products and services successfully then you need to be where people are searching... online!
