My use of this Ning site for selling products and services is totally leading edge. And I've put a lot of work into experimenting and testing to make it really work like I want.
but I'm not worried about other internet marketing consultants stealing my brilliant new marketing methods.
Why?
...because when they see what I've done here, THEY TELL ME I'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG...
then they proceed to "teach" me the "right way"... how a sales letter should be a single loooong page, with multiple "order now" buttons, and a wallpaper background made of money, and a "one time offer" followed up by another "one time offer" at a lower price in case the reader wasn't a sucker the first time. And then a timer counting down from 90 seconds, creating the urgency to "order now, before the price goes up or they pull the product off the market entirely".
My freakin god HOW STUPID THESE CUSTOMERS ARE WHO READ THESE PAGES ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM and then actually do order! Well, that's not YOU. My clients are not theirs and their marketing won't work with my clients. So they are actually correct when they say I'm all wrong! Because my methods won't work with their clients. So as long as we all just keep our own clients to our own websites, we won't have any problems!
This Ning social network concept is what Web 2.0 is all about. It's really very exciting. And it's only recently that I've been able to twist and mold their structure into a new form that is an effective (very effective!) selling platform.
