Customer testimonials are an incredibly powerful business and marketing enhancer. They show others, who may not yet be fully convinced that your product/service is worth their investment - that you are indeed worth investing in. You can say that you are good - but when others say that you are good, it shows that people have full confidence in the products/services that you offer.

Here are some ideas that may increase the effectiveness of a customer testimonial:

- Show a positive/tangible result (I saved X dollars; we increased out office productivity by Y%, etc.)
- Include a photograph, if possible - but obtain a photo-use permission first.
- Consider an interactive testimonial on the Internet; a small audio/vide clip, etc.)
- Contact a business, offer them a free sample/service in exchange for a testimonial
- An advertising/marketing idea: Show numerous content/happy customers endorsing and using your product.
- If you have an auto responder, use it to follow-up with a recently-closed sale; is the customer happy with their purchase?
